![]() With the right upbringing, no teen will smoke or get into drugs. I would rather say that we do understand where these misconceptions come from but It’s time to not let Bollywood deceive our gullible minds. So what can we infer here? I won’t take a radical step saying adults criticize us for no reason, and that we as a generation are doing better than them. The youth brings with it, a whole new point of view and modernized opinions which are neglected. If we were just some over entitled children with no opinions, the world wouldn’t be as receptive or enterprising as it is today. Then again, the misjudgments that come with it, are unfair. Living in a new environment, working with gadgets, working with a different body clock are radical changes to one’s lifestyle and all the adults have my understanding of that. The difficulties of adapting to the tastes and habits of a whole new generation are understandable. But does that give them the license to make an impulsive judgement about every youngster they see? Don’t bother answering, that’s a rhetorical question it doesn’t. With Bollywood setting stereotypes, the image adults have on us is justified. Now would you blame the old folks? Or are they right, seeing the newspapers have enough evidence to support their arguments. I’ve observed time and again how many adults look down upon teenagers, sometimes even assuming them as a threat. I’m a millennial, which means I smoke, party all weekends, hang out with girls and spoil this beautiful Indian culture just so the stereotype is satisfied. To be different is to be cool as opposed to weird. One of the things I admire most about millennials is they celebrate individualism, and their singularity is encouraged. The skies touch my soul, as I inhale a thunderstorm. As the thunder passes by it leaves me fascinated and trembling, as I take one deep breath, feeling a shower of rain coming through. The skies shout out loud and gracefully light up, humbling me. While sitting at my window pane, I stare at the infinite blue skies, thinking to myself that one day I hopefully will be able to soar into them. But the dangers make the reward all the more prepossessing. They will scream at you trying to back you down. What would we say if we were to use thunderstorms as metaphors of life? I’d say thunderstorms are not unlike all the challenges in your life. A warning from the skies establishing and reassuring nature’s control over humanity. Thunderstorms are marvelous, intimidating and beautiful. Some live to get drenched in the rains, while a considerable amount choose to stay indoors, dry and safe. The Monsoon season has to be the most polarizing one of them all. The transition from the hot but calm Summer to the cool and wild Monsoon can be an intriguing one. Rather be modest enough to know your worth define yourself in own eyes and you my friend, are good to go. Never give the society the power to mold you in such a way that it makes you feel bad about yourself. Once your morals are crystal clear that’s when you’re truly confident, in my view. When you’re on the right track taking the right steps, you’re bound to feel confident. This is been said by many people but confidence does not come from weight loss. But the society has taken a rather negative stance on this which compels people to lose weight to abide by the standards. ![]() When people feel fit they tend to feel better about themselves. Now though this might not be the most morally right statement out there it does seem to work. Lose weight and you will get your confidence back. To my surprise the leading cause of this is weight loss. Over some time I’ve seen many people talk about how they got their confidence back. Now after having shed some light on how important being confident is, I’d like to touch upon what I see on social media everyday. Stay confident and you know your position out there. This is where confidence plays an important role. You either join the hustle or you’re left with a broken spirit. Everyday you see a thousand others hustling. Looking around and seeing how fast the world moves everyday can rather be intimidating. We face the world everyday and our confidence determines if the world will soak us up or will we prevail. I’ve learnt to accept and appreciate what nature gave me.Ĭonfidence is very important nowadays.
